Residents rejected only one of 42 warrant articles placed before them during this year’s town meeting.

The town’s budget committee had voted 10-0 that Article 25, calling for appropriating $27,500 for septic waste disposal, not pass.

Residents agreed, voting it down. The disposal service would have cleared septic waste for residents using a septic system rather than the town system.

More than 200 voters initially attended Saturday at Noble High School, with about half staying into the afternoon. Residents discussed the town’s $3,739,937 budget, up $231,663 from last year’s.

Several warrant articles were aimed at capital . Article 4 was passed to raise $15,000 for fire department capital . Article 6 was passed to raise $14,000 for the Central Station Roof, with which the department has had problems since heavy rainstorms last year.

The police department also received capital improvement money. Article 14 was passed to raise $36,500 for a new police cruiser. Article 15 was passed to raise $55,000 to update the department’s computer systems.

Article 19 was passed in favor of raising $410,000 for capital on town roads, including money for crushed gravel, paving and reconstruction. The public works department also will receive $55,000 for its 1-ton truck after Article 20 passed.
