The Bureau of Entomology and has the primary responsibility of protecting Florida citizens and visitors from pestiferous and disease carrying insects, unsafe practices and unscrupulous operators.

The Section regulates and licenses the industry which consists of about 3,200 companies, 5,600 certified operators and 325 special identification cardholders. The major components of the Section are document issuance, enforcement, training and certification.

A license is required for each location. Proof of coverage for bodily injury and property damage is required. supervisory level employees and operators must be certified before engaging in activities. employees, other than operators, are required to have identification cards.
