Corp. said Monday its net new home orders, excluding discontinued operations, for April and May fell 12 percent from the same period last year, blaming a tough .

Adjusting for the number of active selling , new home orders, excluding discontinued operations, were down 18 percent on a same-store basis, the said.

On a same-store basis, orders in California rose “slightly” during the period. They were up 42 percent in Florida and 10 percent in Arizona. Those increases were offset by drops of 34 percent in Texas, 59 percent in the Carolinas and 64 percent in Colorado.
