The body of Army Specialist Byron Fouty arrived today at Pontiac Oakland Airport. Then, by Military escort Fouty was taken to Lynch & Sons Funeral Home.

Fouty will be laid to rest near his mother’s home in Texas.

Fouty was listed as missing for more than a year after a May 2007 ambush outside of Baghdad.  His body was found along with that of Sgt. Alex Jimenez, 25, of Lawrence, Mass., in Iraq. A third missing member of their division was found shortly after the ambush.
