posted by admin in Home DepotHome Depot is closing a call center in Arlington Heights that employs 100 full- and part-time employees, as well as call centers in Dallas and Tampa, Fla.
The Arlington Heights employees will be eligible for call-center jobs at stores if openings are available, said Home Depot spokesman Steve Holmes. Others at the office, including the regional vice president and operations, merchandising and finance departments, will remain, Holmes said.
After the closings, Home Depot will have eight call centers left in North America, Holmes said. There are no plans to close those centers. In March, a Home Depot call center in Addison, Texas, closed, cutting 550 jobs, Holmes said.
Atlanta-based Home Depot employs roughly 350,000 people and operates more than 2,227 retail stores in the United States, Canada, Mexico and China.
