A CROOKED who stole over ï¿¡6,000 from an employer is being spared prison to give him the opportunity to pay it back.

Terry Huggett, 28, admitted to Guildford Crown Court using his employer Tomkins and Mays’ credit card to buy expensive materials from suppliers after quitting his job in June this year.

In total, he bought ï¿¡6,300 worth of boilers and other materials.

But instead of jailing him, Recorder Peter Susman QC gave him a six-month suspended sentence so he could pay back the money to the firm, based in , Epsom.
