Paul Brown MBA CMIOSH Group and Safety Director - Global property advisor of DTZ and a key speaker at the recent Working at Height 2010 Presentation explains that introducing change in the industry is difficult but vital.

Working at Height 2010 Seminar London November 7th 2007
Addressing a packed audience of key people in the working at height industry,

Paul Brown made it clear that the greatest asset any has is its workforce. Clearly, the safety and well-being of that workforce is of paramount importance, so DTZ is committed to doing all it can to prevent accidental injury at work. That commitment extends, not just to DTZ employees, but to everyone the comes into contact with in the course of its daily operations.

Mr Brown pulled no punches. He told his audience that accidents some of them fatal are still very much a fact of life, but despite that fact there remains reluctance amongst some people in the industry to fully take on board initiatives like SIAC, Times Safety in Access Contractor Scheme.

However, with its sights set on achieving zero Working at Height accidents and its determination to see everyone fully trained and competent, DTZ is turning the corner. The is fully committed to implementing the Time s Audit Service for its growing property portfolio of 1,300 , and Times SIAC scheme will ensure joint initiatives to promote best practice and encourage proactive thinking.

It may be a long and difficult road, but the end is in sight!
