Panther Platform Rentals has supplied one of the first SkyKing E228TJ hydraulic platforms to cleaning and property maintenance experts J V Price.

The 22-metre truck mounted platform will complement the companyï¿½s existing fleet and its easy manoeuvrability will help broaden the range of services the company offers to its clients.

ï¿½The boom is mounted on a 7.5 tonne Iveco truck and its light, compact design makes it easier to use in restricted areas than larger truck mounted platforms,ï¿½ said Panther Platform Rentals joint Managing Director Brian Fleckney. ï¿½It is very flexible, offering a working height of 22m and a reach of almost 18m. Features include extra warning beacons, for safer use on busy roads and at night, and one side jacking that is especially useful on narrow roads. The SkyKing E228TJ also has a built-in pressure washer with hoses running through the boom rather than trailing along the ground, which means the cage is safer as there is a balance of weight throughout the platform ï¿½ ideal for the industrial cleaning operations carried out by J V Price.ï¿½

J V Price Operations Director Charlie Price added: ï¿½The new platform is meeting all our expectations. It works well alongside our other fleet vehicles or by itself and we are now able to get access to awkward narrow areas which larger machines cannot reach safely. One added advantage is that the machine also incorporates satellite navigation, which inevitably means savings in fuel costs which we can then pass on to our clients ï¿½ this really is a very cost effective rig.ï¿½
