Micromesh Screen Keeps Gutter Cleaning

Gutter cleaning is a hassle and a safety issue. I know of a person who died after falling from a ladder while gutter cleaning. Why risk injury when you can install a product that would eliminate the need to get up and clean gutters?

There is no such thing as a guard that makes gutters maintenance-free. No matter what gutter guard you install, you will have to maintain it. For years I was a fan of an inexpensive plastic gutter guard that had small diamond holes in it. This design was not bad, gutter cleaning but it did allow debris to enter the gutter. One other issue was it allowed maple-tree seedpods to get stuck in the holes.

Then I tested the large plastic-mesh gutter guards. They required too much work: remove the gutter guard, flush the gutter and then reinstall. Once again, I was on the roof or a ladder doing this maintenance.

I installed this gutter guard just after the leaves had fallen last autumn. I got up on my roof and washed out the gutter’s debris with a garden hose. After nine months, I am proud to say my gutter is still gutter cleaning. The gutter guard is doing a fantastic job. The best part is that the manufacturer tells the truth.
