DC Carpet Cleaning collects food for food bank
posted by home in Carpet CleaningThe Parker Task Force Food Bank has seen a 45 percent increase in 2007 in families needing help. Recognizing this great need, Dave and Carrie Roberts, Franktown residents and owners of DC Carpet Cleaning, have organized a food drive with a goal of collecting at least 500 items for the Food Bank.
“We are giving our clients a discount off of their holiday carpet or upholstery cleaning for each item that they donate to the Food Bank,” explains Carrie. “The response from our clients has been tremendous and we already have nearly 400 food items.”
The all-volunteer Parker Task Force Food Bank provides short-term support for families in the Parker, Franktown and Elizabeth areas. Those interested in donating food can check the web site for a list of currently needed items-www.parkertaskforce.org-or contact Carrie Roberts at DC Carpet Cleaning at 303-688-3212 for additional details.
Founded in 2003, DC Carpet Cleaning is a local carpet, upholstery, tile and leather cleaning company that uses the carpet manufacturer recommended hot water extraction method of cleaning. The company is a member of Ethical Services, which is like a “Better Business Bureau” for carpet cleaning companies across the nation, and is currently ranked #1 in Douglas County and Southern Colorado. The Roberts are certified by the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification.
In addition to their work for the Parker Food Bank, the Roberts have raised money for other non-profit groups such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado, the American Red Cross, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. They also provide carpet cleaning for several local nonprofits at no charge, such as the Women’s Crisis and Family Outreach Center, the Skycliff Adult Day Center and the Parker Task Force Food Bank.
“Although we’re a small company, we don’t think of ourselves as ’small’ when it comes to giving back to the community,” Carrie explains. “We’re happy to donate gift certificates for fundraising projects or help out nonprofits with their cleaning needs. We encourage local groups to contact us about being added to our 2008 volunteer cleaning schedule.”
DC Carpet Cleaning has a toll-free, 24-hour free recorded consumer information hotline at 1-877-247-0704 and a written Consumer Awareness Guide that is available at the company web site-www.DCCarpetCleaningInc.com. The company is a member of the Castle Rock and Parker Chambers of Commerce.
